So let the discussion begin...
OK, so people say that religion is just a thing you do every sunday like go to church and stuff but religion is more than that.Personally I'm christian so I believe that Jesus was the son of christ, he came to Earth, sacrificed himself for our sins so we wouldn't all burn in hell.God gies us limitations but within those limitations he gives us freedom to do as we choose. He won't stop us from sinning even though it pains him to see us do so.
Netxt,God is a person who we can lean on.People don't lean on anybody but them selves sometimes.Let me ask you a question, What happens when the thing you lean on crumbles because of some trauma?God doesn't crumble under the ugly things of life because he is all powerful.
One commonly asked question is how can God be 3 things.Father, son and spirit.Thing of H2O.Water can be water in 3 forms.Water Vapor, Water, and Ice.Even though they're in different forms they're all still water. That's the same with God,Son,and spirit. It's called the trinity.
Sorry if I wrote to much but whatever.
Well see my point is that what has your god actually done that shows that what we are currently doing is wrong? Secondly I am from a Christian family so I know a little about what your saying, but the thing is sometimes God does crumble. Have you ever looked into other religions? Some of them are interestingly close to Christianity but explain life better. For example you may think I am some aethist or agnostic asshole trying to tell you that all organized religion is wrong, but really I am more of a humanist with dashes of buddhist, gnostic, and deistic thought. Roughly put though you could call me an agnostic, I accept your religion and one of you may be right. The thing I have a problem with is that many of the major organized religions have many contradictions such as for christianity: On the outside you present yourselves as loving kind people and say you accept everyone including sinners looking for redemption. But how can you sit there and talk about how homosexuality is bad, if it isn't God's intent then why would he had made it a capable part of creation, I mean he created us why didn't he make it so certain sins couldn't be performed at all? Sure he gave man a metaphorical "chance" in Adam and Eve, but why would he provide such a chance, if purity is what he is after he could have simply removed the tree and its deceptive fruit and let us be ignorant.
So you're saying that God doesn't actually say that what we're doing is wron gright?wrong. The bible is very cleaer on what God wants us to do and not to do.Though some things may not apply anymore because of the times, the principles are similar.God also said that religion was never easy, in fact in some ways it's harder after you accept christ, but you keep on going.
God is always there even if he doesn't show himself sometimes.During a fire a person might die but he saved the fireman's life who was trying to save that person.God has an ultimate plan for everyone even though we don't know what is going to come next.He has given us a choice and we continue to choose bad things but we can always come back to him and he loves us so much.
Yes some religions are suprisingly close to christianity but have you ever thought about the little things that seperate them?In the muslimn culture it's basically the same thing but instead of the bible, they have the koran written by Muhamad. They also believe that Jesus lived but he wasn't the son of God but a major prophet.Orthodox Judaism believes in the old testament but they don't believe in the new testament because they don't beliee in Jesus. There are many different things that are close to the real thing. The best lie you can make is to mix and bit of false with the truth.
